The Property Marketing Awards evening is one of the highlights of our livery calendar and fund raising enables the company to make a contribution to the education and training of young people every year, significantly enhancing their life chances.

We work closely with the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust and are proud that there are now over 600 young people benefiting from the Trust’s support.  In 2017 we also made a substantial grant to Treloars School for physically disabled children to help them acquire a purpose built coach, which they take delivery of in January.

Homelessness is another cause close to the heart of the property industry. This year is the 150th anniversary of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. To mark the anniversary RICS has teamed up with LandAid for its Pledge150 campaign designed to deliver 150 new ‘places’ for the homeless across the UK.

At its launch, The Duke of Cambridge challenged the industry to use its expertise to help solve the problem of homelessness. The Livery Company will play its part, as I am sure many of you will too. This is one of the causes to which funds raised by the Property Marketing Awards will be channelled towards.

I am delighted that some of the companies and individuals who have met through the PMA and associated networking events, are pooling their skills to support the Pledge150 initiative.  The awards themselves, and so much of the work that we do, is only possible because of the very generous and enthusiastic support of our sponsors.  We have a record number this year and I would like to express a personal heartfelt thank you.
