The PMA organising committee today confirmed that the 2020 award ceremony has been re-scheduled due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The next PMA ceremony will now be held in June 2021.
The PMA website will remain open for entries and will be accepting campaign submissions for the two-year period, I January 2019 to 31 December 2020.
The revised closing date for entries is Friday 26 March 2021
David Bianco, the newly appointed PMA chairman says, “Our priority must be to safeguard the wellbeing of everyone involved in PMA and we have therefore taken what feels like an inevitable decision to forgo the ceremony completely this year and instead return in 2021.
“The PMA event is always a thoroughly enjoyable evening, celebrating successful campaigns, handing out well deserved accolades, and above all, networking with colleagues and competitors in the property marketing sector. To observe social distancing rules during a lively reception and in a theatre style auditorium would change the very essence of the event and make it unviable for us to run.”
While some award ceremonies have gone behind closed doors, livestreamed, or adapted in accordance with lockdown rules. Like PMA, others have decided not to hold a ceremony at all this year.
PMA awards ceremony rescheduled to Thursday 24 June 2021
PMA will be running a series of webinar/ networking events with industry experts, details to be announced soon.
Note: The PMA extended entry deadline of 30 June 2020 no longer applies due to the revised closing date. The ceremony scheduled for 26 November 2020 has now been moved to Thursday 24 June 2021. Entries already submitted will be carried forward or can be edited and resubmitted if preferred.
